Additional References For Gameplay
Because this game is set in London, we thought we'd provide a few links to help you through your roleplay. You don't have to use them if you don't want to, they're just here to help.


Terminology

Cockney Rhyming Slang - Pretty much what it says on the tin. If you're after making a character who uses Estuary English, you might want to nosy over this site for some helpful slang.

www.effingpot.com - A good site for American-to-English terminology. The general section is a bit rubbish, but the rest of it is pretty useful.

The English-to-American Dictionary - A lot like effingpot, only more categories and terms to have a look through.


Information on London

Wikipedia Entry: London - A general overview of England's capital city, brought to you by everyone's favourite free encyclopaedia.

East End of London: General Info - Just a bit of general information on the less affluent area of London.

West End of London: General Info - Similar to the link above, only centred around London's more upmarket places.

Visitor Attractions in London - A list of all the tourist traps and famous places within the city.


Names for characters

Baby Names World - A great resource for roleplay names. As well as names, it also gives meanings and origins, so if you're looking for something specific, it's worth a look.

Demon Names List - Making up your own is fine, but if you're stuck naming your demon, you might want to take a peek at this page to get some ideas. Please remember to check that the name you want isn't already taken, though. It will save much disappointment and will help get your application approved more quickly!

Online Roleplay Guides and Resources - If you're looking for an old name for one of your characters, this resource has several pages linked for such purposes. It also has a couple of name generators that might come in handy.

Roleplay Names Generator - Randomly generates 100 names. Good if you're looking for something unusual.


Icons/Character PBs

find_a_pb - Got a character in mind but can't think of someone to play them? This community is for you. Describe the basic outline of your character, any specifics (if you want someone with dark hair and blue eyes, for example) and other members will suggest people to you.

find_icons - Have a PB in mind, but can't seem to find icons (or the right icons) for the character? Try this community! Just look though the tags, and if you still don't see what you are looking for just make a request post. Someone might offer to make you some, or they know of a secret stash of gold.

pb_updates - Another good place to find possible PBs. Just scroll through the mega list and who knows what you might find.

embargo - Much like find_a_pb, you can search by actors or by specific features such as hair. Have to join before you can see the full listing, but it is open membership.

pbsbyariel - A small list, but good base icons. Well worth a look, particularly if you are looking for faces less mainstream. Also check out her LJ, which has the same name. She is a personal favorite of the mod's.

So Damaged Icons - Another favorite of the mod's, another small but growing source for icons. She takes request, and as long as you can provide her with resources, she's usually willing to do some work. If you ask nicely. (She also has an IJ account: sodamaged_icons)

Hollow Art - Livejournal-based icon community. Use the tags to navigate, though dialup users beware! The list is very long and takes many prisoners.
