Places of Interest

Although all London-based businesses and locations are ideal places for characters to meet, fight or interact, character-run/owned ventures are also encouraged (after all, they have to get money from somewhere, right?). Below is a list of the current locations created within the game. If you wish to add your character's business to the list or have them join an existing business as an employee, please contact one of the moderators.

  • Avant Flux

Flux, as the club is known to many of the recurring partygoers that pass through its bronze-handled doors, is everything you would expect from a typical, big-city nightclub. Having survived London's club scene for over ten years, Flux is a richly-furnished expanse of polished dancefloor and black granite bars, a great soundsystem and a feel of cocktail chic. With cheap drinks, good music and slightly over-friendly barstaff, Avant Flux is a must visit for anyone out for a good time.

    Owner: Joaquin Webb
    Bouncers: Bobby, Mitch, and Jimmy.
    Bar Manger: Sammy

  • The Black Drum

Possibly one of the most long-standing supernatural haunts in the city, The Black Drum has been opening its doors to saints and sinners since before The Plague hit London. Situated in the east end, this roomy drinking establishment has been built and rebuilt several times over the centuries, yet still manages to look a little blank and shabby. Step inside, however, and you'll find a warm, pub atmosphere as welcoming as any of its human-oriented cousins.

    Owner: Ivan Vladamir

Note: The Black Drum is protected by old magics and incantations. Patrons cannot fight under its roof, and those that attempt to cause trouble disappear from the pub. Seconds later, said troublemakers reappear outside, temporarily barred from entering for the rest of the night.

  • The Inferno Rooms

Situated in the West End, this large and classically understated building appears to be just another exclusive and expensive bar for inner-city yuppies. With marble bartops and plush seating made from only the finest Italian leather, the interior does little to deter such opinions. However, The Inferno Rooms is much more than a richly furnished hang out for those in the higher tax bracket. In all truth, the establishment's popularity is not based on the drinks it serves but the women it pays to dance around wearing very little on their pert and perfect bodies. Rumour has it that there is a members only area in the club that offers more than just a dance, though no 'member' has ever come forward to confirm this.

    Owner: Davis McRoy
    Manager: Mick O'Brian

  • London’s Hearth Charity and Shelter

At the turn of the 20th century, East London was in need of more than just expansion. As the number of city residence grew, so did the number of poor and homeless. London's Hearth was founded as an expensive and free place for those who could not afford medical treatment. Over the years it has expanded to more than just a medical clinic for the poor, but to a educational outreach program. They offer courses in reading and writing, help with finding jobs, rent out flats on a temporary bases, affordable day-care services, and counciling as well as 12-step programs.

    Owner and Director: Rune Baine

  • Morning Star Studios

Everyone wants to be famous. Morning Star Studios, founded in 1984, has given many people a chance they could only dream of having. Recording labels are hard to come by, but the important people seem to like the hands on approach, looking for new talent themselves instead of waiting for it to come to them. Its a good bet that they can be found in any bar that had a live act for the night, for any bar that offers open mics. So take a chance, tonight might be your lucky break.

    Studio Head: Sam Torrance

  • The Pit

Found on the outskirts of East London, The Pit is the largest junk yard in the city. Unlike most other places, though, this yard does not seem to peddle for business of the ‘respectable’ kind. The city bumps the unclaimed wrecks in the yard, and the staff moves the wrecks about as they see fit. It is highly suggested that unless you belong in The Pit, that you stay clear of it. A pack of Werewolves have taken the place over, making the grungy inhabitance their own, inner city wilderness. In this place there is only one rule, survive.

    Alpha Male: Cosmo Varias
    Alpha Female: Tegan Varias

  • Scribbles Cafe

Newly opened, Scribbles is a modern drinking spot with a friendly atmosphere that attracts coffee connoisseurs young and old alike. With its clean, modern lines and oversized chairs, Scribbles is a comfortable place to chat and unwind. Perhaps not as trendy or as popular with the pseudo-intellectuals as established coffee house chains, but they certainly make a good cup of joe.

  • St Germaine's Hospital

St Germaine is a busy inner-city hospital. One of the best NHS hospitals in London, this ultra-modern leviathon of healthcare and well-being was almost never built, but thanks to several large donations from a reclusive entrepreneur currently residing on London's billionaire's row, it is now one of the country's proudest and most progressive hospitals. Clean, safe and friendly, St Germaine's hospital has been praised by patients, staff and boards of inspection alike.

  • The Unicorn Retreat

Appealing to the more spiritual denizens of London, The Unicorn Retreat is an occult shop just over the road from Camden Market. The front of the store is veritable maze of candles, incense and semi-precious stones, along with a few non-too-serious books on love spells and hexes. However, head through the curtain covered doorway and you'll find a veritable feast of books, charms and spell ingredients just perfect for the more serious practitioner of magic. All black magic texts and relics are ordered in, so if it's a bit of the dark side you're after, you'll have to ask.

    Owner: Doreen

Note: The Unicorn Retreat is protected by magical wards. Although demons, vampires and other supernatural creatures are not denied entry, they're prevented from using any dark magic on the premises. The shop is also protected against any behaviour that could be harmful to it and those within its walls.

++ If you would like your character to work at one of the above establishments, or would like to add an establishment to the list, reply to this post or email nothonestmods [at] gmail [dot] com.
